Baroque Fountain Details:
This wonderful Baroque fountain is truly amazing to see.
The fountain has three levels. The bottom part is shaped like an octagon, and the middle part has statues of women in different poses, supported by decorative columns. At the top of the piece is a smaller basin with lion heads on it, with two human figures standing on top.
The bottom basin has straight, curvy lines, and its walls have beautiful carvings of vines and flowers.
The female figures in the middle tier are shown standing up. They hold water jugs in different positions – some resting on their shoulders, others at their waists – with their clothes flaring out around them and looking very focused.
The woman at the top of the fountain is holding a water jug on her head with one hand and a flowing scarf in the other. Next to her is a small naked child looking excitedly to the side.
The whole marble fountain looks very lively, with all its details done perfectly. From the detailed hair and the fluttering folds of clothes and scarves to the expressive faces, the elegant poses, and the way light and shadow are used in the picture, everything together makes you feel a sense of deep admiration.
